# Account Settings

Account Settings control your personal profile and security preferences. These settings apply to your individual user account across all organizations you belong to.

    Click the avatar icon in the top-right corner of any page, then select **Account settings**.

  <Step title="Update your details">
    You may update your **Email address**, **First and Last name**, and **Password** from this page.

  <Step title="Enable Two-Factor Authentication (optional)">
    Under *Two-factor authentication*, click **Set up** next to *Authenticator app* to add an extra layer of security to your account.

  <Step title="Save your changes">
    Click **Save** in the top-right corner of the page to apply any updates.

  **Danger Zone: Delete Account**<br />The Account Settings page contains an option to permanently delete your account and remove you from every organization you belong to. **Your account cannot be recovered. Not by you, not by support.** <br /><br />Before deletion, you must select a successor for each organization you belong to - any content you created will be transferred to them, and the successor will be promoted to Super Admin if they are not already one. You must also type `delete my account` in the confirmation field to proceed.
