What it shows
The canvas displays every portfolio, product, and initiative you have access to, laid out hierarchically. Each node is labeled with its name and, depending on your zoom level, a quick indicator of status or value so you can scan for outliers without opening anything. What it’s for
The Value Map is designed for orientation, not editing. It’s the fastest way to:- Understand how your organization’s portfolios, products, and initiatives fit together
- Spot where an initiative sits in the broader structure
- Get a quick overview of any node before deciding whether to open its full record
Panning and zooming
Click and drag anywhere on an empty area of the canvas to pan. Use your trackpad or mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out. Larger organizations with many portfolios and products will start zoomed out to fit everything on screen. Zoom in on a branch to see individual initiatives.Selecting a node
Click any portfolio, product, or initiative node to open its side panel. The panel has two sections:- Overview: a summary view showing financial metrics
- Details: the fuller record for that node, mirroring the information you’d see on its page in your workspace
What you can’t do here
The Value Map is intentionally view-only:- You cannot create a new portfolio, product, or initiative from the canvas
- You cannot delete a node from the canvas
- You cannot drag a node to reparent it under a different portfolio or product
