ValueMap has two system roles and three contributor levels, each with an Editor or Viewer access type, that together define what each user can see and do across the platform. Downstream access Permissions are hierarchical. A user granted access at a given level automatically inherits the equivalent permissions for all nested levels beneath it. For example, a Portfolio contributor has access to every product and initiative within that portfolio.

System roles

RoleNotes
Super adminFull access to everything in the organization - all settings, all data, all actions. There is always at least one Super Admin per org.
AdminOrg-level access. Can manage users, configurations, portfolios, and approve initiatives. Cannot manage billing or roles and permissions (Super Admin only).
Editing or removing users Existing users can be edited or deleted using the action icons (pencil and trash) in the Users table. Admins and Super Admins may perform these actions.

Contributor levels

Contributors are invited at a specific level (Portfolio, Product, or Initiative) and assigned either Editor or Viewer access at that level. Access is inherited downward: a Portfolio contributor automatically gets the same access type on all products and initiatives within that portfolio.
LevelNotes
PortfolioInvited at the portfolio level. Gets access to that portfolio and all products and initiatives within it.
ProductInvited at the product level. Gets access to that product and all initiatives within it.
InitiativeInvited at the initiative level. Gets access to that specific initiative only.
