The Overview page at every level of the hierarchy (Organization, Portfolio, Product, and Initiative) displays three key financial metric cards: Total Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, and Payback Period. Each card shows a breakdown of Estimated, Realized, Forecasted, and Variance values. Hover over the icon next to any metric label to see its definition in line.
Value anchoring
Values are restated to an anchor month you control, using your org’s configured annual discount rate (WACC).
Fixed option anchors each initiative to its own start month, and the value never changes. Variable option anchors every initiative to one month you choose, discounting or compounding values accordingly. If you set it to “today,” values shift as time passes. This setting is personal, it only affects your view.
To ensure accuracy at the monthly level, the annual rate is converted to a monthly rate via geometric compounding, so the cumulative 12-month discount factor exactly matches your configured WACC rather than a simple division by 12.
