Access is hierarchical
Having access at any level automatically grants you the equivalent access to all nested levels below it. For example, a Portfolio Contributor inherits Contributor-level permissions for all products and initiatives within that portfolio.Organizations
Organizations
An organization (org) is your primary workspace in ValueMap. It contains all your portfolios, products, and initiatives, and defines the team members who have access to them. Each company may have up to 5 organizations.
Why ValueMap works month by month
Traditional business case tools assume all cash flows land at the end of each year - a simplification that understates the time value of money. ValueMap models benefits and costs at the monthly level, so the timing of when money is received or spent is captured accurately. The sooner a benefit is realized (or a cost incurred), the greater its present-value impact. This granularity also means recognition timing matters: a cash flow recognized at the start of a month has a different present value than one recognized at the end. Every financial metric in ValueMap reflects this precision.
